Pokecut not actually free
Free, no watermark, no signup.
Its own pricing page lists No Watermark and HD Download as paid features. The free tier watermarks and downscales. Every listicle recommending it is wrong.
Photoroom not actually free
Free background removal for Etsy and resale sellers.
Their own help centre states you cannot use a free account for commercial purposes — and the pricing page lists no free plan at all. Every roundup pitching this to sellers is recommending a terms violation.
remove.bg not actually free

Free gives low-resolution previews only. Full-resolution cutouts cost credits. "Preview images are always free" is doing a lot of work in their FAQ.
